About Us…
The People’s Church of Potter Brook is a friendly church that believes and teaches the Bible. We want to help people come to know God in a personal way and live for Him.
Here is how you can know God personally!
A- ADMIT you are a sinner & ASK for forgiveness!
- Romans 3:23- “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
- 1 John 1:9- “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
B- BELIEVE in Jesus as your Savior & BECOME a child of God by receiving Him
- John 3:16- “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
- John 1:12- “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
C- CONFESS that Jesus is Lord & CHOOSE to follow Him daily!
- Romans 10:9- “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
- Luke 9:23- [Jesus said,] “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

SUNDAY SCHOOL
AT 10:00 AM
Join us as we explore the Bible together with practical application and freedom to share in discussion. Classes for children, teens, and adults.
SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP AT 11:00
Everyone is welcome to worship the Lord with us. The nursery is staffed and available. Children are dismissed to KidZone before the message.
SUNDAY EVENING SERVICE AT 6:00
Dive deeper into God’s Word with us as we discover truths for Christian living.
WEDNESDAY PRAYER MEETING AT 6:00 PM
Gather with us as we study the Bible and pray for the needs of our church family, our community, and the world.

Sundays:
Sunday School
The adult Sunday School at PCofPB includes a video and teacher-led discussion of Bible or current topics. Currently, the adult class is learning about the PCofPB Statement of Faith.
Teen Class
The youth class is enjoying a video series entitled Discipleship with Ray Van Der Laan.

The Children’s Sunday school and KidZone are kicking off 2026 with a new curriculum! The Big Idea for May is “Mama Bear.” God uses fierce, faithful women to protect, praise, speak wisdom, take risks of faith, and pass the faith on. He can grow those same virtues in all of us.

Pastor Gene is teaching from the book of 2 Corinthians on Sunday mornings during the 11:00 service. During the Sunday morning message, the kids are dismissed to KidZone where they continue the Mission: Possible theme.
The Gospel of Mark is our topic on Sunday evenings at 6:00. Everyone is encouraged to come out and participate with comments and questions during the service.
Wednesday Evenings
On Wednesday evenings at 6:00, we are gaining wisdom from Proverbs. After Bible study, we pray together in small groups. There is no pressure to pray aloud. All are welcome!
People’s Church is partnering with Right Now Media, a ministry that offers thousands of online Christian resources, to offer free access to all People’s Church members and attendees.

The People’s Church of Potter Brook was established in 1890 with the purpose of “encouraging and conducting public worship.” Since that time, the People’s Church family has continued to worship God, preach the Bible, reach our community and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, encourage believers in their walk with the Lord, and gather together for prayer, encouragement, and fellowship.
